Low-E Window Film Sydney
Insulating window film that keeps summer heat out and winter warmth in, for more comfortable rooms and lower energy bills all year round.

What Is Low-E Window Film?
Low-E stands for low emissivity. Low-E window film has a microscopically thin coating that reflects heat energy instead of letting it pass straight through your glass.
Most window films are designed for summer: they block heat from the sun. Low-E film does that too, but it also works in winter by reflecting the warmth from your heaters back into the room instead of letting it escape through the glass.
Ordinary single glazing is one of the biggest sources of heat loss in a home. Low-E film improves the insulating performance of the glass you already have, without the cost and disruption of replacing your windows.
Benefits of Low-E Window Films
Warmer Winters
Reflects room heat back inside.
Cooler Summers
Rejects solar heat before it enters.

More even temperatures near windows.
UV Protection
Blocks over 99% of UV rays to reduce fading.
Keep Your Windows
A cost-effective upgrade compared with replacing glass.
How Low-E Window Film Works
In summer, the film rejects a large part of the sun’s heat at the glass, so less of it reaches your rooms.
In winter, heat from your heaters, people and appliances radiates towards the cold glass. The low-emissivity coating reflects much of that heat back into the room, so your heating does not have to work as hard.
The result is glass that behaves more like an insulator all year round, while still letting natural light through.
- Heat Reaches The Glass
- Low-E Coating Reflects It

Low-E Window Film For Homes
Many Sydney homes still have single-glazed windows that let heat pour in on summer afternoons and leak out on cold winter nights. Low-E film is one of the simplest ways to improve them.
It is especially useful in living areas with large glass doors, bedrooms that are hard to keep warm, and homes in cooler areas like the Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands where heating runs for months.

Low-E Film For Offices & Commercial Buildings
Offices with large areas of glazing often run heating and cooling at the same time in different parts of the floor. Low-E film evens out temperatures near the glass and reduces the load on the HVAC system all year.
It is a practical upgrade for older commercial buildings where replacing the windows is not an option.

Frequently asked questions
Is Low-E film as good as double glazing?
Not quite. Double glazing traps an insulating layer of air or gas between two panes, which Low-E film cannot replicate. But Low-E film noticeably improves the insulating performance of single glazing at a fraction of the cost, and without replacing any windows.
Does Low-E film work in summer too?
Yes. Low-E films also reject solar heat, so you get summer heat reduction and winter heat retention from the same film.
Can Low-E film go on double glazed windows?
Sometimes. Some double glazed units and glass with an existing Low-E coating are not compatible with additional film, because it can increase the risk of thermal stress in the glass. We check your glass type before recommending anything.
Will Low-E film make my windows dark?
Not necessarily. Low-E films come in light, neutral options that keep your rooms bright, as well as darker options if you also want glare control or privacy.
Does Low-E film block UV rays?
Yes. Like most modern window films, Low-E films block over 99% of UV rays, which helps protect flooring, furniture and curtains from fading.
