Anti-Graffiti Window Film Sydney

A clear protective layer for shopfronts, glass doors and mirrors. When vandals scratch, etch or tag the glass, we replace the film instead of the glass.

What Is Anti-Graffiti Window Film?

Anti-graffiti window film is a clear, tough film applied over glass to take the damage that would otherwise land on the glass itself. It is sometimes called sacrificial film, because that is exactly its job.

Glass vandalism is rarely just spray paint. Key scratching, rock etching and acid etching leave permanent marks that cannot be cleaned off, and replacing a large shopfront panel is expensive and slow.

With anti-graffiti film in place, the scratches and tags sit on the film. We peel off the damaged section and apply a fresh piece, and your glass underneath stays untouched.

Anti-graffiti film does not stop someone from attacking the glass. It makes the damage cheap and quick to remove, which takes the reward out of repeat vandalism.

Application
Usually applied to the outside face of the glass, where vandalism happens, and trimmed neatly to the frame.
Visibility
Optically clear, so your shopfront displays and views look the same as before.
Replacement
Damaged film is removed and replaced in a fraction of the time and cost of new glass.
Thickness
Available in different thicknesses. Thicker films resist deeper scratching in high-risk spots.

How Anti-Graffiti Film Works

The film is made from a hard-coated, impact-resistant polyester that bonds to the glass with a strong adhesive. It absorbs scratches and etching on its surface instead of letting them reach the glass.

When the film is damaged, we remove the affected panel of film and install a new one. Regular replacement keeps your glass in near-new condition for years.

Anti-Graffiti Film For Homes & Strata

Anti-graffiti film is mostly a commercial product, but it also makes sense for street-facing glass that keeps getting damaged, glass balustrades and fences on busy streets, and the shared areas of apartment buildings.

For strata buildings, protecting lobby glass, lift mirrors and entry doors keeps common areas looking good and avoids repeated glass replacement costs.

Frequently asked questions

Does anti-graffiti film stop graffiti?

It does not stop someone from attacking your glass, but it stops the damage from being permanent. Scratches, etching and tags end up on the film, which we remove and replace, so the glass underneath stays undamaged.

Can you see anti-graffiti film on the glass?

Anti-graffiti film is optically clear. Once installed, most people will not notice it is there, and your displays and views look the same as before.

How long does anti-graffiti film last?

It lasts until it is damaged enough to replace. Films on the outside of the glass are exposed to weather and cleaning, so they wear faster than interior films. We will advise on the expected life for your site.

Is anti-graffiti film the same as security film?

No. Security film is thicker and is designed to hold glass together and delay break-ins. Anti-graffiti film is designed to take surface damage like scratching and etching. Some sites use both.

Can anti-graffiti film go on mirrors?

Yes. Mirrors in public bathrooms, lifts and lobbies are common targets for scratching, and anti-graffiti film protects them the same way it protects glass.

Is it cheaper than replacing the glass?

In almost every case. Replacing a section of film costs far less than a new glass panel, takes less time, and does not require a glazier or a temporary board-up.
